Nitori-sponsored course “Making Logistics and Services a Science”


Since April 2005, Nitori has offered a sponsored course in corporate management at the Faculty of Business Administration and the Graduate School of Business Administration at Hokkai-Gakuen University. Since fiscal 2007 the course has been introduced as a full curriculum of the Faculty of Business Administration. This sponsored course concerning business administration, and the logistics and service sector in particular, has no precedent anywhere in Japan, and since being established has proven popular with business people in general.
 For the current year the course will feature Akio Nitori, Nitori’s President and Representative Director, as the main instructor, who will lecture on topics such as the philosophy of chain store operations, the acquisition of basic knowledge and examples of creating management and systems.
 The course is not limited to postgraduate and undergraduate students of the university, and all members of the general public and local society are welcome to attend the lectures. Individuals wishing to participate are encouraged to apply.
