Design competition
Q1 The competition themes do not refer to any season. Can I design my work without respect to a specific season?
No particular reference to the season is required.
Q2 Is there a limit to the number of entries for each contestant?
Although the number of entries is not restricted, please submit a separate application for each entry.
Q3 Can I fold my presentation in quarters or smaller, or roll it up before submitting it?
No, you can't.
Q4 Can I decide the type and number of rooms? (e.g. only a living room)
Please design at least three rooms for entries in the Fabrics category and two rooms for entries in the Furniture category.
Q5 Can I decide the number of interior elements for each room?
Yes, but you are required to have enough interior elements for coordination.
Those who apply for the Interior Accessories category are required to include at least eight items.
Q6 Can colors and themes be different from room to room?
Because total coordination is a key concept of this competition, themes and colors of all rooms should be integrated.
But for a kid's room, although the color has to be consistent with the color of the other rooms, the design should be appropriate to the target age.
Q7 Can I set the selling price of my proposed product?
Basically you are free to set the price, although the item should be able to be sold profitably at that price.
Q8 Are a 3D model and three ortho views required for each piece of furniture designed?
Three ortho views are necessary for all furniture products.
A 3D model is recommend for a room perspective, but it is not mandatory for each product.
Q9 Should three ortho views be painted?
No. Painting is not necessary.
If you submit three painted ortho views, please also include unpainted ones.
Q10 Is it necessary to attach material samples?
There is no need to submit an actual article as a material sample, but a visual image should be attached so that jurors can recognize kinds of materials and textures.
Q11 Can I coordinate the design not with patterns but with solid colors or textures alone?
Pattern combinations should be created as a base design with which solid colors are coordinated. Please click here for other application requirements
