Q4 How should I take care of a feather comforter?

Simply dry it out once a week. Nitori’s feather comforters are “home-washable”, so they’re easy to take care of even when soiled.

Q5 I'm bothered by the smell of feather comforters. Can the smell be removed?

All feather comforters give off a characteristic smell.
We clean and disinfect the materials while making our feather comforters, but it is difficult to completely get rid of this smell.
It is assumed that the smell is caused by the high oil content of the material, but if we removed all this oil, the useable lifetime of the down would be shortened.

(Reducing the smell)
Roll your feather comforter tightly to squeeze out the air before drying it in a well-ventilated place for 3 to 4 hours.
(Drying method)
Dry both sides, either in sunlight or in a shaded place with good ventilation.
Dry each side for about 1 hour between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on a day with good drying weather. Do this once or twice a month.
