Tables and chairs

Q1 What are the basic sizes of dining room tables from Nitori?

Two-person table: approx. 80 × 80cm
Three- to four-person table: approx. 70 to 85cm × 120 to 150cm
Five- to seven-person table: approx. 70 to 85cm × 165 to 210cm

Q2 What precautions should I take when using a dining room table?

Never put pots, kettles or other hot objects directly on the table. The adhesive used to bond the surface layer of a table top is susceptible to the effects of heat, which could cause it to peel off.
Do not place a newspaper or magazine under a hot object. Newspaper and magazine inks are made of resinous oils or carbon, which melt by heat. When this happens, the paper sticks to the surface such that it cannot be removed. Be sure to use a mat especially made for this purpose.
The legs of almost all tables are attached with bolts. If a table’s legs wobble during use, it means the bolts have loosened. Tighten them occasionally.
The surfaces of many tables are painted to protect against scratching. We recommend that you cover your table with a tablecloth or placemats when dining.
