Store property proposals(for commercial property developers)

Nitori is a nationwide chain developing stores throughout Japan. Stores are positioned according to two business formats: “home furnishings stores” (full-line stores specializing in furniture and interior furnishings) and “home fashion stores” (interior specialty stores).
We are looking for information on store properties throughout Japan that meet the following conditions.


“Home furnishings stores”(full-line stores specializing in furniture and interior furnishings)

  1. Store area
    Anywhere in Japan Note: Outside of Nitori's existing store commercial areas
  2. Commercial facility size
    Commercial establishments on a R.S.C (regional shopping center) scale, mainly stores customers can visit by automobile.
    Note: We will also consider small-scale SC and standalone stores when the location is along a major arterial road (two or more lanes in one direction).
  3. Store scale
    I.  Standard-type store
    Sales floor space 1,500-2,000 tsubo, or approx. 4,958.7 - 6,611.6 sq.m. (lease area 1,700 – 2,400 tsubo, or approx. 5,619.8 – 7,933.9 sq.m.)
    Market area population At least 300,000
    II.  Small market area-type stores
    Sales floor space 600-1,000 tsubo, or approx. 1,983.5 – 3,305.8 sq.m. (lease area 700 - 1,200 tsubo, or approx. 2,314 – 3,966.9 sq.m.)
    Market area population At least 150,000
  4. Form of agreement
    Property lease agreement (tenant contract) Lease period of about six years

We will discuss leasing conditions and contract details after Nitori performs a study of the market area.

“Home fashion stores”(interior specialty stores)

  1. Store areas
    Tokyo metropolitan area (area within 30km of the center of Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture, Saitama Prefecture and Chiba Prefecture)
    Kinki region (Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto suburbs), suburbs of Nagoya City
    Note: We will also consider locations within the dominant area of existing stores
  2. Commercial facility scale
    C.S.C (community shopping center) scale or larger
  3. Store scale
    Sales floor space 300 tsubo, or approx. 991.7 sq.m.(Lease area About 340 tsubo, or about 1,125 sq.m.)
    Market area population At least 100,000
    Note: We cannot open a store when the sales floor area is divided among several floors.
  4. Form of agreement
    Property lease agreement (tenant contract) Lease period of about six years
