Personal Information Protection Policy
Basic principles
Nitori Co., Ltd. actively uses personal information received from customers to ensure customer satisfaction providing convenient and high-quality services.
Consequently we recognize that protecting customers’ personal information from leaks, loss, falsification and other risks is one of Nitori’s most important missions.
To enable and ensure all employees are engaged in accomplishing our mission to protect customers’ personal information, Nitori has prepared a corporate Information Personal Protection Policy, which we will release today.
We pledge to act so that all employees, (including Nitori’s own employees as well as contract workers and the employees of firms to which Nitori outsources business operations) are well versed in this policy and will comply with this policy when handling and managing personal information.

Personal Information Protection Policy
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall establish an organization to promote the protection of personal information, and shall strive to eliminate risks and prevent recurrences of problems by appointing a personal information administrator and maintaining a personal information protection management system.
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall not administer any personal information except personal information obtained from customers after it has explained the purposes for using the information beforehand, and personal information acquired from third parties by using proper methods. (Nitori and its employees will not administer personal information that exceeds the scope of the specified purpose of use.)
- The personal information retained by Nitori Co., Ltd. shall consist of information obtained from a variety of sources, including information obtained directly from customers in the course of sales and business transactions and construction certification information obtained using proper methods.
- The personal information retained by Nitori Co., Ltd. shall be used only for the following purposes of use, such as to confirm and execute the details of sales transactions with customers, administer agreements, perform credit and other procedures, provide after-sales service including delivery after execution of a sales agreement and settlement of payments, introduce Nitori’s products and services, respond to various inquiries and perform employment checks when hiring personnel.
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall not disclose or provide a customer’s personal information to any third party without the permission of the customer, except when required by law.
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall implement reasonable and appropriate safety management measures for personal information retained by all employees, contract workers and parties to whom Nitori outsources business operations, and shall seek to prevent and correct the leak, loss, falsification or corruption of personal information.
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall comply with all domestic laws, government-prescribed guidelines and other standards concerning the protection of personal information.
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall seek to ensure a thorough awareness of this policy and a strict spirit of compliance by providing training for all employees, contract workers and employees of parties to which Nitori outsources business operations.
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall regularly evaluate its personal information protection organization including this policy and various related rules, and review its personal information protection management system, and strive to continually improve these measures.
- Nitori Co., Ltd. shall respect the rights of individuals concerning personal information, and shall respond with in a reasonable time period subject to the laws concerning personal information when it has received a complaint, a consultation, and request from a customer to disclose, correct or delete the customer's own personal information.
Disclosure, correction, termination of use and deletion of personal information
When it has been requested by a customer to disclose, correct or terminate the use of that customer’s personal information, or revise the scope of provision of the information or delete the information, Nitori will respond promptly after it has confirmed the identity of the individual in question according to prescribed procedures.
